REPF Grant supports our extraction equipment upgrade!
Updated: 2 days ago
At Ben's Berkshire Bees, we are thrilled to have received a grant from the Rural England Prosperity Fund, managed by West Berkshire Council. These grants aim to assist small businesses in their growth. The council has been incredibly supportive throughout our application process, and we are honored to have been chosen.
This funding will enable us to expand various aspects of our business.
We plan to enhance the efficiency and capacity of our honey extraction process by purchasing a professional uncapping tank (which is more sophisticated than it sounds), honey settling tanks, and an additional extractor, allowing us to double our honey processing capacity in the same amount of time.
We have also started using our new jarring and labeling machines, which have significantly increased the speed of our jarring process and improved the precision of our measurements.
A creaming machine will enable us to produce soft set honey increasing our range of produce.
Finally we are going to buy a large used trailer to help up move hives and equipment around.
We would like to thank West Berkshire Council for supporting our business!
